Mt. San Jacinto College has been named the Large Business of the Year for 2023 by the Menifee Chamber of Commerce.
Roger Schultz, president and superintendent of the community college, and Vicki Carpenter, who represents Menifee on the school’s board of trustees, accepted the award at the college’s April 29 awards banquet, according to a statement.
“We love this community, we’ve grown with this community, and great things are still to come,” Schultz said in the statement “We are thrilled to receive this award from the Menifee Valley Chamber.”
The college’s Menifee Valley campus opened in 1990. It has several projects under construction, including a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics building, an athletics complex with classrooms, and a 5,000-seat stadium scheduled to open this fall, according to the statement.
