NAIOP IE assists Habitat for Humanity

Members of the Inland Empire chapter of NAIOP recently worked with Habitat for Humanity, the organization that provides housing to low-income people.

About 20 chapter members helped paint and landscape a home in Riverside last month, part of the charitable organization’s A Brush With Kindness program, according to a release.

Homeowners are selected based on age, disability and family circumstances, based on guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The program’s goal is to help people preserve their homes with painting, landscaping, weather stripping and minor repair services.

NAIOP, a national commercial real estate organization, regularly participates in charitable activities. The local chapter has helped benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Fontana, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Loma Linda and Second Harvest Food Bank, according to the release.
