By this fall, Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario expects to have a much-improved scoreboard hanging from its ceiling.
The new center-hung Daktronics LED Display System will have four main video displays, each of which will measure 11.5 feet high and 21 feet wide, according to a statement.
Each display will have a much sharper and clearer picture than the previous scoreboard, which was installed in 2008 when the arena opened. That scoreboard has had technical problems recently, prompting complaints from patrons, according to Michael K. Krouse, the arena’s president and chief executive officer.
“Not only will our sporting competition be seen with better clarity, but our graduation ceremonies will benefit from this brand new large LED screen board.”
Citizens Business Bank Arena is home to the Ontario Reign, a minor league affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, and the Ontario Fury of the Major Arena Soccer League.
Starting this fall, the 11,000-seat venue will be home to the Agua Caliente Clippers, an affiliate of the NBA Los Angeles Clippers.
