New Stater Bros. in Riverside

Stater Bros. will open a store in Riverside later this month.

The facility, at 315 S. Alessandro Blvd., will be located in a former Ralphs market, according to Stater Bros. officials.

Located in Mission Grove Plaza, the store will cover approximately 46,000 square feet. It’s scheduled to open with an 8 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 27.

The building has undergone major renovations since Stater Bros. first announced its plans to locate there last October. Originally, Stater Bros. planned to locate in the building – which Ralphs left about one year ago – last spring.

The store will serve the communities of Mission Grove, Canyon Crest, East Hills and Woodcrest.

San Bernardino-based Stater Bros is the largest private employer in the Inland Empire. It operates 170 stores, employs approximately 18,000 people and is the largest privately owned supermarket chain in Southern California.
