Stater Bros. will open a new market in Riverside next week.
The 44,000-square-foot store at 2841 Market St. will be nearly twice the size of the store it’s replacing nearby, according to a statement released today.
The store, in Victoria Village Shopping Center, will open June 25 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It will have wider aisles and other enhanced customer services, including full-service meat and seafood departments, a delicatessen, bakery, beverage bar, produce department and floral section.
Stater Bros., which operates eight other markets in Riverside, will present donations to the Riverside Police Foundation, the Casa Blanca Public Library and the Second Harvest Food Bank, according to the statement.
The amount of those donations was not released.
Stater Bros. is the largest private employer in the United States. It operates 167 supermarkets throughout Southern California and employs approximately 18,000 people, according to the statement.
