The Ontario International Airport Authority has added Spanish and Mandarin versions of its website, www.FlyOntario.com.
“The addition of Mandarin and Spanish-language content to our web site is another important step in the airport’s evolution and our work to make Ontario even easier to navigate, especially for our international customers,” said Mark Thorpe, the airport authority’s chief executive officer, in a statement.
Both versions will be monitored by a team fluent in those languages. Spanish and Mandarin will also be used in the airport’s social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Ontario International operates international flights to Mexico and China. The latter began last March with daily non-stop flights between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, creating a need for Mandarin-language information, according to the statement.
Ontario International serves 19 major markets. It’s the fastest growing airport in the United States, according to Global Traveler, a travel publication for the airline industry.
