For the second consecutive summer, Omnitrans will offer youth discounts.
From June 1 through July 31, anyone 18 years old or younger will pay $1 per trip, according to a statement.
Regular rates $1.75 and a one-day pass is $5.
Young riders will be able to pay on board or by using the San Bernardino transit agency’s new mobile app, which is free. It can be reached by texting TOKEN to 41411.
The Summer Youth Fare was first offered in last year, when approximately 39,000 riders took advantage of the program.
The summer discount is available on all Omnitrans bus routes in the San Bernardino Valley. That includes 26 local routes, three freeway express routes, five OmniGo community shuttle routes and the sbX bus rapid transit line that covers San Bernardino and Loma Linda, according to the statement.
