Curt Watts has been named head of Cathedral City’s economic development department.
Watts, who has held similar positions in Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, will work with Economic Development Manager Leisa Lukes to attract new businesses to the desert city and encourage development there, according to a city statement.
Watts has more than 25 years experience in project management, economic development and redevelopment in the public and private sectors. Most recently he was Rancho Mirage’s development services director, and before that he was that city’s economic development director.
