Michael Stevens has been appointed to the San Bernardino County Fair board of directors.
Stevens, a Victorville resident, was named to the board by Gov. Jerry Brown earlier this month, according to a statement.
Stevens was appointed a few days before this year’s fair started on May 21st at the High Desert Event Center in Victorville.
He joins eight other county residents who are in charge of planning the fair, the High Desert Home Show, the Victorville Gun Show, concerts, community meetings and various public and private events.
Stevens owns and operates Stevens Consulting Services, a communications and training firm in Victorville. He also serves on the Inland Empire United Way’s advisory council for the High Desert and on Victorville’s legislative review committee, according to the statement.
Stevens will serve a three-year term on the fair board. His consulting firm released the statement announcing his appointment.
