Maria Burkitt has been named director of operations by Alta Vista Credit Union.
Burkitt will be in charge of leadership and supervision of branch and call center operations, according to a company statement.
Burkitt, who has worked for Alta Vista Credit Union for 13 years, will also be responsible for all human resource activity, including employment, compensation, benefits and employee services.
“Maria brings … a wealth of knowledge to her new position,” said Kris Bussard, the credit union’s vice president and chief financial officer, in the statement. “Her relationships with the members, and her diverse knowledge of the operation, will be an immediate asset to the credit union.”
Alta Vista Credit Union is based in Redlands. It serves 12,800 members, with membership open to anyone who lives or works in Riverside or San Bernardino counties, according to the statement.
