Joseph Ortiz, a partner with Best, Best & Krieger LLP’s Riverside office, has been appointed to the California Fair Employment and Housing Council.
A longtime trial lawyer and human resources attorney, Ortiz has tried employment cases before state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals, according to a statement on the law firm’s website.
The Council promotes regulations that implement California’s anti-discrimination laws in employment and housing.
It also investigates and holds hearings on civil rights issues facing the state, according to the council’s website.
