On The Move

Kelly J. Fredericks has stepped down as chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority.

Fredericks’ resignation was announced Wednesday by Alan D. Wapner, president of the airport authority and a member of the Ontario City Council.

“Kelly J. Fredericks [has] stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario International Authority,” Wapner said in a statement. “Both the commissioners and Kelly acknowledge that their approaches to the direction and management of [the airport authority]  differ and that it would be mutually beneficial to part ways.”

Fredericks was hired in January 2016. Mark Thorpe, the airport authority’s chief development officer, has been named its interim chief executive officer.

Formerly owned by Los Angeles World Airports, an agency of the city of Los Angeles, Ontario International was transferred to local control last fall.
