Michael Burrows has been named executive director of San Bernardino International Airport.
Burrows, who has been the airport’s interim executive director for the past year, was appointed Wednesday during a meeting of the San Bernardino International Airport Authority and the Inland Valley Development Agency, according to a statement released by both entities.
The authority is responsible for the airport’s aviation activities, while the agency oversees all commercial development there. Burrows will oversee both organizations.
“It is an honor and a privilege to lead these two agencies. “ Burrows said in a statement. “With the continued support of the board and commission, as well as our very talented staff, both agencies will continue in a positive direction.”
Burrows has held various positions during his time at the airport. He worked with Hillwood Corporation to attract major tenants there, including Stater Bros. and Amazon, according to the statement.
