Randy Madrid has been named to the Menifee planning commission.
Madrid, owner of RM Project Development, a consulting firm, will begin serving at the commission’s Jan. 13 meeting, according to a statement released Monday.
Madrid replaces Lesa Sobek, who was recently elected to the city council. His appointment was announced by Mayor Scott Mann.
Madrid has worked or consulted for several developers, including KB Home Coastal, Pacific Communities Builders, K. Hovnanian Cos. and Adams-Streeter Civil Engineers.
He has also worked on public works and engineering projects with the cities of Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, and he is a board member with the Riverside County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, where he is also vice president of legislative affairs.
