The Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired a marketing and advertising firm that specializes in travel and tourism.
JNS Next Creative Media Hub in La Quinta, and the visitors bureau, have started a marketing campaign – prompted in part by the economic slump caused by COVID-19 – that focuses on the Ontario market as an ideal destination for meetings and conventions, according to a statement released Wednesday.
“Being on the heels of a very trying year, we know that priorities have shifted in the way meeting planners visualize their gatherings, and there are added considerations to take into account,” said Michael Krouse, the bureau’s president and chief executive officer, in the statement.
JNS Next will provide multiple services, including content development, visual strategy, video production, still photography, social media management, digital advertising, website management, public relations and a yearly strategic marketing plan.
The company will also help with different projects when needed, including Greater Ontario Restaurant Week, Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion, Christmas on Euclid and events at Toyota Arena, according to the statement.
Funding for the campaign will come from a grant the visitors bureau received in February from the U.S. Economic Development Agency. Further financial details were not disclosed.
