Sue Oxarart, director of marketing and communications for the Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been named winner of the 2019 Smart Women in Meetings Award in the Stellar Performer category.
The Smart Women in Meetings Awards recognizes female meeting professionals in seven categories: Hall of Fame, Visionaries, Industry Leaders, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Stellar Performers and Rising Stars, according to a statement released Monday.
All nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and compete against hundreds of other candidates.
“We are fortunate to have Sue Oxarart serve as marketing and communications director for the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, Citizens Business Bank Arena, and the Ontario Convention Center” said Michael Krouse, the bureau’s president and chief executive officer, in the statement. “Her experience and local knowledge combined with her passionate work ethic benefits our venues, organization, and the overall region.”
All winners will be featured in the March issue of Smart Meetings magazine and will be honored at the fourth annual Smart Women in Meetings Awards gala, which is scheduled to be held May 8 in Las Vegas.
