Palm Springs starts COVID-19 hotline

The Palm Springs Police Department has started a telephone hotline to report non-compliance with COVID-19 regulations.

The COVID-19 Violation Hotline – (760) 323-8159 – operates from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Violations include not wearing masks of other appropriate face coverings in essential businesses, as ordered by Riverside County.

“We are taking compliance seriously and violators may be fined. We appreciate the community’s support and ask everyone to practice vigilance while remaining kind and compassionate,” said Chief of Police Bryan Reyes in the statement. “Our absolute goal is to gain cooperation through education.”
