Palm Springs wants to know about problems with rental properties

Palm Sprints is asking its residents to use the city’s vacation rental hotline if they encounter problems with a rental property in their community.

The number, which is maintained by the city’s Vacation Rental Compliance Department, is (760) 322-8383.

“The vast majority of people renting out their homes are complying with the regulations,” City Manager David H. Ready said in a statement on the city’s website. “However, there is always room for improvement and the city of Palm Springs is actively working to eliminate vacation rental issues in our neighborhoods, especially during this busy time in the Coachella Valley.

The hotline has achieved “excellent results” in getting compliance and resolving complaints since it was stared in December 2016, Ready said.
