Palm Springs International Airport had a record breaking year in 2018.
The airport served more than 2.3 million passengers last year, topping the 2.1 million travelers it handled in 2017, its previous record, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“With a 10.8 percent increase year-over-year, passenger traffic at [Palm Springs International] continues to set records,” City Manager David H. Ready said in the statement.
“The city council has long recognized the importance of the airport as an economic driver and has made a significant financial investment in upgrades, renovations and improving amenities and concessions,” the statement read.
