It’s time once again to review Riverside’s code of ethics.
Riverside’s Inclusiveness, Community Engagement, and Governmental Processes Committee will hold its annual meeting on Sept. 1 in the city council chambers.
Committee members will discuss possible changes to Riverside’s code of ethics and conduct ordinance, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend and make suggestions. Board members will take recommendations from the public and the board of ethics.
In 2004, voters decided the city should adopt a code of ethics and conduct. All elected officials, boards, commissions, and committees must follow this code, which is reviewed every year.
The council chambers are at city hall, 3900 Main St. For more information, visit www.riverside.ca.gov or call the city clerk’s office at (951) 826-5557 for a brochure and a copy of the code.
