San Bernardino has hired Best, Best & Krieger to provide legal services for the city.
The law firm became San Bernardino’s legal team of record earlier this month after having worked for the city under multiple interim agreements, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Best, Best & Krieger will operate in partnership with City Attorney Gary Saenz. It will provide assistance in a number of areas, including land use and zoning, code enforcement, ongoing litigation and cannabis regulation.
Sonia Carvalho, senior partner with the firm, will be its lead San Bernardino attorney. She will be assisted by Thomas Rice and John Brown.
Best, Best & Krieger employs about 200 attorneys in 10 offices in California and Washington, D.C. Its client list includes public agencies, businesses and individuals, and it has represented more than 50 California cities, according to the firm’s website.
