The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the San Manuel Casino will open a recruitment center at Ontario Mills this weekend.
The 8,000-square-foot facility, the tribe’s first off-site recruiting location, is scheduled to open Saturday and remain open through October, according to a statement released by the tribe.
San Manuel needs to fill thousands of full and part-time jobs to accommodate a major expansion of its resort and casino, which is underway. That upgrade includes a larger gaming space, a 24-hour restaurant, a high-end restaurant and more retail shops.
A grand opening is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Saturday through Monday.
“I am thrilled about our new off-site recruitment center,” said Peter Arceo, general manager of San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, in the statement. “We are hiring thousands of people across all areas of our enterprise and this new center will help us introduce a broader community to the many great opportunities we have to offer.”
The recruitment center is at One Mills Circle. After the three-day grand opening, the center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Monday through Saturday.
The San Manuel tribe is based near Highland. It’s one of the Inland Empire’s largest employers, with 3,000-plus workers at the casino and 1,500-plus employees in its tribal government division, according to the statement.
