San Bernardino County Museum will open exhibits dedicated to the county’s ecology and natural history.
“The Hall of Biodiversity,” which is scheduled to open Saturday on the mall’s upper level, will feature interactive exhibits and displays from the museum’s collection of mammals, said David Myers, curator of visitor experience, in a statement.
Visitors will also view, under digital microscopes, plants and insects indigenous to the region.
“Human behavior has the power to impact the environment, so we want visitors to come away from the Hall of Biodiversity understanding why biodiversity is important in our region [and] what we have done in the past to shape our environment,” Myers said in the statement.
