Kimberly Shiner, associate vice president of university development at Cal State San Bernardino, has been appointed vice president of Leadership California’s executive board.
Shiner was part of the group that completed the largest fundraising campaign in the university’s history: $54 million, which was $4 million more than its goal, according to a statement on the university’s website.
The campaign included a $10 million cash gift, the largest ever received by the university, to name the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration after the then-leader of State Bros. Markets.
“This is a well-deserved appointment and tribute to Ms. Shiner’s experience and leadership in higher education and nonprofit management,” said Robert J. Nava, vice president for University Advancement at Cal State San Bernardino, in the statement. “Kim has distinguished herself in fundraising and developing programs to promote equity and inclusion in higher education.”
Leadership California is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing women leadership in California.
