Solar company to expand

A Hemet company that sells and installs solar panels for commercial and residential customers is expanding.

Horizon Solar Power will add about 150 employees and move to a larger building according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.

The building, a 20,000-square-foot structure at 3570 W. Florida Ave., has been vacant for almost four years. It was last used as a call center by Hilton Worldwide, the hotel company, according to the report.

Horizon Solar Power has been using another building on West Florida Avenue. The company is scheduled to hold a job fair from 10a.m. to 4 p.m. at its new location, where it plans to hire sales representatives, customer service workers, technical support and installers, according to the report.
