Southwest Airlines has announced four additional routes from Palm Springs International Airport.
The Dallas–based airline announced daily year-round service to Sacramento, seasonal daily service to Dallas Love Field and Chicago Midway, and seasonal service on Saturdays to Portland, according to a statement on Palm Springs’ website.
The year-round Sacramento service is scheduled to start October 7, 2021 and will operate once in the morning and once in the evening, round trip.
Daily service to Dallas Love Field will start November 7, and daily service to Chicago Midway will start November 23, 2021. The Portland flights are scheduled to begin Nov. 20.
All three will operate during the Coachella Valley’s peak winter tourist months.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with Southwest Airlines and thank them for their continued commitment to add air service into Greater Palm Springs,” said Scott White, president and chief executive officer of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, in the statement. “The added nonstop flights from Dallas, Portland and Chicago will allow us to welcome even more visitors from these key markets to our desert oasis, and the year-round daily service from Sacramento will reinforce the strong business tie between our two destinations.”
