Applications are being accepted for the California Competes Tax Credit, an income tax credit designed to keep businesses in California and help them grow.
The current application period began July 27 and is scheduled to last through Aug. 17, according to a statement.
There are approximately $180 million in tax credits available. The tax credit agreements are negotiated by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, better known as GO-Biz.

GO-Biz is scheduled to host a series of webinars on California Competes Tax Credits. The next session is scheduled to be held on Aug. 6.
