Stater Bros. recently honored 585 of its employees for extended years of service with the full-service grocery store chain.
Those honored at Stater Bros.’ recent Family Service Awards Banquet have worked for the company anywhere from 20 to 50 years, according to a statement released Tuesday.
Fifteen people were honored for 40 years service, four were honored for 45 years of service and one person was recognized for 50 years of employment with Stater Bros.
Jack Brown, Stater Bros.’ chairman and chief executive officer, handed each honoree a Family Service Award Pin during the banquet, which was held June 20 at the Riverside Convention Center.
“I am proud that so many employees have chosen to make Stater Bros. their career,” Brown said in a statement. “It has been said that you judge a person by the company they keep, and a company by the people they keep.”
San Bernardino-based Stater Bros. operates 168 supermarkets and employs about 18,000 people throughout Southern California. It is the largest private employer in the Inland Empire.
The Family Service Award program has recognized nearly 8,000 Stater Bros. employees since the program was started in 1987, according to the statement.
