The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors have agreed to fill the empty seat on the West Valley Water District’s board of directors.
The election last November left a vacancy on the five-member water board, and the remaining board members have been unable to decide who should fill that seat, according to a statement.
At the request of the water board, the supervisors have agreed to fill the seat at its March 7 meeting.
Supervisors Janice Rutherford and Josie Gonzales are interviewing applicants and will recommend an appointment to the full board of supervisors. The four-year term for the vacant seat expires in December 2019.
The West Valley Water District supplies drinking water to parts of Rialto, Colton, and Fontana along with unincorporated parts of San Bernardino County and a portion of Jurupa Valley in Riverside County, according to the statement
