UC Riverside has been named one of the top U.S. colleges for offering degrees that yield the best results at affordable rates.
CNBC Make-It, a business news website, ranked UC Riverside 14th on its annual list of “50 Colleges That Pay Off The Most.”
Earlier this year, U.S. News & World Report ranked UC Riverside the top university in the United States for social mobility.
“These past several years, a thread that consistently runs through UC Riverside’s college rankings success is social mobility, the degree to which we lift our graduates into higher income brackets,” said Kim A. Wilcox, UC Riverside’s chancellor, said in a statement. “The CNBC ranking demonstrates that a UCR degree is a check our graduates can expect to cash in the workplace.”
UCR’s average annual cost for in-state students is $13,184, and the median salary for alumni with 10-plus years’ work experience is $106,900. Both numbers were used to compile the CNBC ranking, according to the statement.
