Mayor Matt Rahn will deliver Temecula’s 2018 State of the City address.
This year’s theme is Temecula SAFE, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“The city’s highest priority every year is public safety so this year we are shining a spotlight on the high quality of life that our citizens, businesses and visitors enjoy,” Rahn said in the statement. “Temecula’s strategy for success is to safeguard its private and public capital investments and protect its most precious resource: our people.”
Rahn selected this year’s theme, maintaining a city tradition of letting the mayor decide the main focus of the state of the city.
This year’s state of the city is scheduled to be held at 7 a.m. May 31 in the new wing of the Pechanga Resort & Casino. It will be hosted by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, and an exposition by 40 local nonprofit agencies will be part of the event.
