Three more city parks get WiFi

Moreno Valley has added WiFi to three of its parks, bringing the total number of parks and other facilities to 35 in the city with that technology.

Westbluff Park, Morrison Park and Rock Ridge Park all recently received the network adapter that makes wireless access to the internet possible, according to a statement on the city’s website.

“Our innovative WiFi Gardens continue to open in parks and facilities across the city,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “In addition to the social and educational benefits of helping our residents stay connected with friends, family, and local businesses, the high-speed internet also helps them to access vital city resources, support, and information.”

Starting in June 2020, WiFi Gardens allowed residents password-free access to the internet via the “ILoveMoVal” network.

To gain access, look for the green WiFi Gardens sign when in and around a Moreno Park park or facility. A complete list of locations can be found at moval.org/clic, and an interactive map of WiFi Gardens is available at moval.org/wifi.
