This year’s tour, scheduled to be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 5, will be separated into four zones – two on the west side and two on the east side – said Robert Evans, executive director of NAIOP’s Inland Empire chapter.
The tour, which is about 15 years old, traditionally was divided into east end and west end, with participants required to choose one or the other. Last year the event covered three zones, but the recent amount of industrial development in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has forced another change.
“We have too many buildings,” said Rob Evans executive director of NAIOP Inland Empire. “We had 53 buildings in the past, and now we have about 70 that we want to look at, so we had to divide it up even more.”
Between 250 and 300 people, most of them local industrial brokers, are expected to participate. The tour will begin at the Cal Aero Aviation Country Club at Chino Airport, 14925 Cal Aero Drive.
This year’s event will benefit The Blessings Center in Redlands, which provides food and shelter to the homeless.
