Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

This week, Ed welcomes back veteran talk radio host Larry Elder to the show. They talk about the presidential race and Ed picks Larry’s brain about the Republican candidates. “This is a year of outsiders,” Larry says. “The top three candidates are people with no political experience: Trump, Fiorina and Carson. People are tired of politicians.” Citing the Iran deal the President has brokered as just one example, Larry says, “People feel double crossed.”

What’s Larry’s take on those top three candidates? He’s astounded at Trump’s comments to Rolling Stone on Carly Fiorina, which Trump tried to walk back by the end of the week. As for Ms. Fiorina, Larry believes she has come a long way. “I was not impressed with her in the (2008 Senate race),” he says. “But she’s gotten a lot better, and has handled herself with a great deal of class and dignity. The first time she ran and lost made her a better candidate.” Ed is tired of the criticisms that Fiorina was a “failure” as Hewlett-Packard CEO, saying, “Losing jobs is part of running a company.”

Larry also remarks on the third front runner, Dr. Ben Carson. “He speaks directly…he is just a very genuine, impressive guy. He’s created quite an impression.” As an African-American conservative with decades of experience in political commentary, Larry believes that Carson is the best black conservative to come on the scene – ever. If you’re a Ben Carson fan, tune in to find out what one of the nation’s most inspiring conservative voices – Larry Elder – has to say about him!

There’s plenty more to this interview, though; tune in to The Main Event this week to hear Ed Hoffman and Larry Elder discuss the economy, the Iran deal, racial politics, and other important matters going on in our nation.

Next, Ed plays his annual September 11 tribute. It is both heartbreaking and inspiring, and you don’t want to miss it. You also don’t want to miss the GOP Post-Debate Event at the Riverside Convention Center next Thursday evening, featuring Larry Elder and Dennis Prager. It’s going to be a great night!
