U-Haul reaches out to fire victims

U-Haul is offering assistance to victims of the greater Los Angeles fires.

Ninety-two of the company’s Southern California locations, including several in the Inland Empire, are providing 30 days free self- storage to evacuees and their family members, according to a statement.

“I cannot put into words the devastation that I have witnessed firsthand,” said Chris Piedra, U-Haul’s area district vice president, in the statement “People are hurting and in need of help.

U-Haul is part of these communities, and if we can help our neighbors in this process, we are going to do so.”

Twelve locations in San Bernardino County and seven locations in Riverside County are participating. For more information call (909) 885-4378 or 951) 485-2007.

The free offer applies to new self-storage and U-Box rentals and is based on availability at participating U-Haul locations, according to the statement.
