U.S.-China aviation conference held

More than 100 people attended Threshold Aviation Group’s recent U.S.- China General Aviation Business Conference.

The conference, which was held March 28-30 at Threshold’s headquarters at Chino Airport and the Embassy Suites in Brea, brought together government and aviation officials from the United States and China, according to a statement.

The goal was to give U.S. aviation companies an entry into the growing Chinese aviation market, and several tentative deals were struck, including the sale of an aircraft manufacturing company. Offers were also extended to a local aviation company that would allow its air show team to perform at two shows in China this summer.

Further details were not released because those deals are pending.

Threshold Aviation employs about 65 people. It services and maintains a fleet of  corporate and private jets.

The company occupies about 150,000 square feet of space at the airport and is one of the largest aircraft maintenance and manufacturing companies in Southern California, according to Threshold officials.
