UC Riverside has been named among the top universities in the western United States by the Wall Street Journal.
The publication ranked UC Riverside 15 in the west and 189 overall among public and private universities in its 2020 Higher Education College Rankings, according to a statement on the school’s website.
Eight hundred universities were surveyed. UC Riverside ranked 216 last year, according to the statement.
Rankings are based on 15 indicators in four categories: outcomes, resources, engagement, and environment. Seven out of ten UC Riverside graduates surveyed said they made the right choice, found the school to be an inspiring environment and that going there was worth the cost, according to the statement.
