The University of Redlands and the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco will merge.
Redlands’ School of Business & Society will establish the Presidio Center for Sustainable Solutions on the Redlands Marin campus starting next summer, according to a statement on the Redlands website.
The university, which partnered with the San Francisco Theological Seminary in Marin in 2019, will be responsible for Presidio’s academic programs, including its MBA and dual MBA-MPA courses.
Presidio will keep its faculty and continue to concentrate on environmental sustainability, social justice, and its general curriculum.
“This partnership fits hand-in-glove with our goals for the [business] school and for our Marin campus,” said Thomas Horan, business school dean, in the statement. “Presidio’s mission, and its sustainability and social justice curriculum, is a complement to our own mission to empower our students to impact business and society.”
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission is expected to approve the merger by the end of June, according to the statement.
I never knew Redlands University in Redlands CA was so politically left wing. It’s in a Conservative area.
