Walmart has reopened its Corona Supercenter at 1290 E. Ontario Ave. following an extensive remodeling.
The renovations included a pickup tower, “a 16-foot tall high tech vending machine” that can fill a customer’s order online in less than one minute after they arrive at the store, according to a statement.
Walmart plans to add 27 of the devices at California stores this year.
The improvements at the Corona store are part of $145 million in upgrades that Walmart is conducting at 21 California stores. All of the changes are designed to save customers time and money.
Other improvements include interactive displays in the electronic departments, enhanced clothing departments and better infant sections with easier access to diapers, formula and other essentials, according to the statement.
