Alan D. Wapner, has been named to the Airports Council International-North America’s policy council.
Wapner, president of Ontario International Airport Authority’s board of commissioners, joins five new appointees on the ACI-NA’s policy council, according to a statement on the airport’s website.
Airports Council International is a trade association that represents commercial airports in Canada and the United States. Its policy council provides regulatory and other information to airport officials.
“It is an honor to work alongside some of the top airport officials in navigating the challenges and opportunities facing our industry and air travel,” Wapner said in the statement.
Wapner, an Ontario city council member, is also chair of the Airport Council’s commissioners committee, according to the statement.
