Torie Weiston-Serdan has been named the Inland Empire Community Foundation’s first-ever education equity program officer.
A 20-year veteran of teaching and working in youth programming service, Weiston-Serdan will oversee the foundation’s education funding, grant programs and investments, according to a statement.
“This role presents an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students across our region,” Weiston-Cerdan said in the statement. “I believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality education that enables them to reach their full potential.”
Founded in 1941, the Inland Empire Community Foundation is the oldest community foundation in the Inland region. It has given out more than $127 million in grants and scholarships since its founding, according to the statement.
