Willie Nelson to appear in Ontario

Country music icon Willie Nelson will bring his “Willie Nelson & Family” show to the Toyota Arena in Ontario.

The show is scheduled for Jan. 14, with a special guest to be announced in the meantime, according to a statement.

Nelson has been writing, recording and performing for six decades, releasing more than 200 albums during that time. He is the creative force behind the classics Crazy, Red Headed Stranger and Stardust, the recipient of virtually every possible music award and author of “It’s a Long Story: My Life,” a New York Times bestseller released in 2015.

In November 2015, the Library of Congress honored Nelson with its Gershwin Prize for Popular Song for his contributions to popular music. He is first country artist to receive that distinguished award.

Earlier this year, Willie Nelson released “Ride Me Back Home,” a studio album with 11 recordings that reflect upon his life.

Tickets to “Willie Nelson & Family” are available at the arena box office and at ticketmaster.com.
