Mt. San Jacinto College will hold its 2018 graduation ceremony at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula.
Two ceremonies are scheduled to be held on May 25, one at 10 a.m. for the nursing school and a second at 5 p.m. for the rest of the graduating class, according to a statement on the school’s website.
This will be the first time Mt. San Jacinto College will hold its commencement ceremonies at the gaming establishment, which is at 45000 Pechanga Parkway.
The move away from the traditional graduation site – the Ramona Bowl Amphitheater – will offer more parking, better security and better access for disabled students and guests, according to the statement.
Both ceremonies will be held inside one of the facility’s new ballrooms.
Approximately 1,300 students graduated from Mt. San Jacinto College, about half of which participated in the commencement ceremony, according to the statement.
