Passenger traffic rose 9.3 percent year-over-year at Ontario International Airport in March, according to data released Thursday.
More than 415,000 people used the airport last month, up from 380,000 travelers one year ago, the Ontario International Airport Authority reported.
International passenger traffic increased by more than 24 percent, the result of China Airlines beginning daily flights between Ontario and Taipai, Taiwan on March 25.
Cargo tonnage also grew at 9.3 percent.
During the first quarter of this year, passenger levels were up 10 percent and cargo volumes were up 16.4 percent compared with the first three months of 2017, the authority reported.
