Jasmine Glover-McNamara has been named San Bernardino’s director of animal services.
A lifetime San Bernardino area resident, Glover-McNamara has been acting director of the department for the past four months, according to a statement released by the city.
Glover-McNamara joined the department in 2023. Before that, she spent nearly ten years with the Riverside County Department of Animal Services, including time as its chief of shelter operations.
“Jasmine has a passion for the animals at the shelter,” said City Manager Eric Levitt in the statement. “She is a team-oriented leader with an excellent working relationship with the staff, and she has a vision to help grow the department.”
Besides San Bernardino, the city’s animal services department serves Colton, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda, Rialto, and Fontana.
