The Empire Strykers of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) extended their community outreach efforts on Thursday, September 17, hosting a special evening of wellness and connection for families at the Ronald McDonald House Inland Empire. Holding the event from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, team members visited the facility to engage directly with resident children and their families, bringing the energy of professional arena soccer to a supportive, community-focused environment.
During the two-hour visit, the Strykers led guided stretching sessions specifically tailored for the families and children in attendance, promoting physical wellness and relaxation. Beyond the physical activities, players spent time interacting one-on-one with the residents, sharing personal and professional insights into the life of a professional athlete, and offering an uplifting distraction for families navigating difficult health journeys.
While the Ronald McDonald House Inland Empire is located on-site adjacent to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, it operates as its own completely separate, independent non-profit entity. This visit marked the official launch of a brand-new relationship between the Empire Strykers and the local Ronald McDonald House chapter, representing the first event of its kind between the two organizations. Following the success of the evening, the Strikers have already established plans for future engagement and additional events with the chapter.
While the partnership with the Ronald McDonald House is a new frontier for the team, the Strykers maintain a deeply rooted history in the immediate area. The team holds a long-standing, established relationship with the neighboring Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. This ongoing commitment is driven by a powerful multi-organization coalition that unites the Empire Strykers, National Core, and the Hope Through Housing Foundation.
By building upon their historical ties to Loma Linda and establishing fresh connections with the Ronald McDonald House, the Empire Strykers continue to solidify their role as active, compassionate leaders in the Inland Empire community.
