Former Mayor Ron Loveridge was the first subject of “A Good Life,” a documentary series being produced by RiversideTV, the city’s in-house production studio.
Loveridge, who served as an elected official in Riverside for 32 years was profiled in a two-hour program that premiered Oct. 15, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Each episode of “The Good Life” will examine someone who has made an impact on Riverside through public service or community involvement. Loveridge, a four-term council member and five-term mayor, is in his 53rd year as a political science professor at UC Riverside.
“Over many years I was honored by the opportunity to represent and serve the residents of Riverside,” Loveridge said in the statement. “Together we changed the trajectory of the city.”
RiversideTV recently won eight awards, including five for first place, from the California and Nevada chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors.
It broadcasts 24 hours a day seven days a week and can be viewed on Charter Spectrum Ch. 3, AT&T Ch. 99, Frontier Ch. 21, at WatchRiverside.com and YouTube.com/CityofRiverside, according to the statement.
