Bed, Bath & Beyond has announced that it plans to close 40 stores this year.
That figure includes four Southern California stores that have already been shuttered, according to multiple reports.
The stores are located in 19 states, and all are expected to be out of business within six months. The New Jersey-based company closed 14 locations late last year.
The Southern California stores that shut down were in Chino Hills, Hemet, Encino and Santa Clarita. The company, which is facing tough competition from online retail, was operating more than 1,500 stores under various names as of Nov. 30, according to reports.
