Apple Valley to host drive-thru Coronavirus test

Apple Valley will host a drive-thru Coronavirus test May 27 at Civic Center Park.

The event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is being held in conjunction with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, according to a statement on the town’s website.

There is no charge and proof of health insurance is not needed. No symptoms of COVID-19 are required to participate.

Civic Center Park is at 14999 Dale Evans Parkway. Access to the park from Bass Hill Road will be restricted beginning at 7 a.m. the day of the testing until 7 p.m. the evening of the testing, for setup and teardown.

Anyone who attends should expect traffic. Test results are expected within seven days, according to the statement.
