Carlos Monterrey has been named Apple Valley’s employee of the quarter for the second quarter of this year.
The town’s maintenance supervisor, Monterrey was recognized recently for helping to get Apple Valley through the COVID-19 crisis, according to a statement on the town’s website.
“The coronavirus has changed the entire scope of work for our facilities department and we have Carlos to thank for much of their success,” said Mayor Scott Nassif in the statement.
“While town hall is currently closed to the public, Carlos and his team are hard at work making sure all Town staff working in the office have clean and safe environments.”
Monterrey is in charge of maintaining all town facilities, including the public works building and the town’s animal shelter. He will be recognized at Tuesday’s town council meeting.
